Frequently Asked Questions

Your Guide to Desoil Healing Acupuncture & Care Standards

Does acupuncture hurt? What do the needles feel like?

We use ultra-fine, single-use, sterile needles that are as thin as a single strand of hair—completely different from standard hypodermic injection needles.

Whether you feel any discomfort largely depends on your body's current condition and the specific area being treated:

  • 🟢 Healthy Areas vs. Blockages: In areas where your vital energy and muscle tissue are completely healthy, you will generally feel absolutely nothing. However, if a needle encounters a point with deep-seated muscle tension, chronic inflammation, or energy blockages, you may experience a brief, heavy ache or sharp tingle. This is a positive clinical indicator that your nervous system is actively responding and unlocking the problem area.
  • 🟢 Sensitive Zones: Certain anatomical areas, particularly around the tips of your fingers and toes, are naturally rich in nerve endings. These target points are inherently more sensitive and can trigger a sharper, momentary sensation during insertion compared to the back or torso.

How many sessions do I need to see physical results?

While many clients experience a notable lightness and profound relief from stress or muscle tension immediately after their very first 60-minute session, chronic or deep structural pain pathways usually yield the best long-term results over a course of 4 to 6 continuous sessions.

During your first visit, your practitioner will map your precise body conditions and draft a personalized treatment plan structured entirely around your body’s unique pace of recovery.

Can I combine acupuncture with your natural herbal oils?

Yes, they work beautifully together to create an inside-out healing effect. However, please note that our standard clinic acupuncture sessions focus purely on precise clinical needle frameworks and do not include oil applications during the treatment itself.

Following your session, our practitioner may optionally recommend specific formulations from our proprietary **Desoil organic herbal natural oil** line. Purchasing these aromatic blends to use at home serves as an excellent post-treatment booster—helping you calm localized muscle inflammation, soothe the nervous system, and accelerate your overall body recovery between your clinic visits.

How do your out-call Home Service appointments work?

Our mobile out-call service allows you to receive professional acupuncture care directly in the privacy of your home, villa, or hotel room in Bali. Please note that these home sessions are not permanently available and are arranged strictly on a case-by-case basis depending on our daily schedule openings and location boundaries.

Because we do not transport heavy mobile massage tables, linens, or aromatherapy setups, patients are kindly requested to provide a comfortable bed, daybed, or sofa setup in a quiet space before our practitioner arrives. Our practitioner will bring all necessary clinical tools, including sterile single-use acupuncture needles and target-point expertise.

An additional travel/out-call fee of IDR 200.000 is applied per session on top of your selected acupuncture treatment choice (Full Body or Targeted Area). You can check availability and coordinate boundaries easily by sharing your Google Maps location with our booking desk via WhatsApp.

Is there anything I should do to prepare before my treatment?

We recommend arriving with a light snack or meal in your system (avoiding completely empty or overly full stomachs right before therapy).

Wearing loose, accessible clothing (such as soft shorts and button-up or loose tops) allows for a quick and seamless transition when placing points along the hands, knees, back, and shoulders.
